Looking for a way to support the PTA? Host a Whittier experience! Contact Melissa Rausch if you are interested in hosting an experience for the spring fundraiser happening on February 22nd! Melissarausch@sbcglobal.net
Whittier Experiences are a crucial component to PTA fundraising that offers students and families an opportunity to sign up for fun events throughout the year! Past experiences include Running Club, After School Kickball, The Amazing Race, Movie Night and Cake Decorating.
Host families come up with an idea, and once approved they plan, organize and fund the event. The PTA Experiences Committee will promote the event at the Spring fundraiser and Whittier families will sign up. All registration fees for the event go to the PTA to help provide the amazing programs students enjoy all year long! Specifically we are raising funds this year to update the Jaguay Jungle with new mats and whiteboards.
Still have questions? Ask a veteran Whittier Family for details… or better yet, contact Melissa Rausch and she can give you the scoop! Melissarausch@sbcglobal.net

NEW: WRECK for 5th and 6th Grade Students!
WRECK (Whittier Robotics and Engineering Club for Kids) is an amazing amount of fun and also a great way to learn interesting engineering and robotics concepts (without even realizing it!). For those not familiar, WRECK is a PTA run program and is offered to 3rd through 6th graders. Utilizing Lego WeDo kits (3rd and 4th) and BRAND NEW Lego EV3 Mindstorms kits (5th and 6th), we will give interested boys and girls an introduction to robotics and programming. The classes will start with learning basic principles and will culminate in a final project that should be challenging and rewarding. No prior experience required!
Registration is open for Session 2 (5th and 6th Grade) and is limited to 16 students. It starts on January 22nd and classes are Tuesdays 6:30 – 7:30. See HERE for all of the details and to register.
