Attention parents – Health Examination Reminder

Health forms for incoming 2016-17 kindergarteners (physical and vision) and 6th grade students (physical) are due by Memorial Day.
Please remember that dental exams are required for all incoming kindergarten, 2nd and 6th grade students and can be submitted now.
Thank you for completing these important requirements.
This year, we will be celebrating the life of Noah VanHoutan, who lost his battle against Batten Disease on March 26, 2016, just a few weeks short of his 12th birthday. Noah was a student at Kingsley Elementary School, along with his younger sister Laine, who also suffers from Batten Disease, and Emily, Laine’s twin sister, attends Pierce Downer.
You may have seen the red ribbons adorning Whittier & the trees of DG showing support to the VanHouhtan family (and may even have one around a tree at your house!). Noah clearly had an impact in our community; we continue to choose hope as we strive for a cure, and as we honor the fight and life of Noah, taken much too soon.
Show your support and register today!
We are reaching out to the community to help raise funds for the playground! Flyers are in backpacks for World’s Finest Chocolate sales. You can sell all summer long if you want, or even sign up to sell at the DG Friday night Car Shows or the Roatry Fest Craft Fair. Imagine, this time next year we will be prepping to install a new primary playground!!
Interested in being part of an AWESOME show? Looking for volunteers to shadow 1. Stage Manager (getting props on and off stage) 2. Director – Organize rehearsals & write the script
Got your calendar out? Here are the dates for next year’s Variety Show! School & Tivoli Shows are firm & final, all others are tentative and will be finalized at the start of the school year.

The end of the school year is just a month away! Plan to stick around after dismissal on that last day (June 3rd @ 11:40 a.m.) for an end-of-year celebration outside at Whittier courtesy of the PTA’s Family Fun committee. There will be an ice cream truck delivering refreshing treats to the children, games, and other fun entertainment. All are welcome.
