The Backpack Project – Halloween Candy Donations!

Are you looking how to get rid of the hoards of candy your kids brought home yesterday from trick or treating?? Consider donating to the Backpack Project! Please click on the link below to read more about this fabulous teenager who is delivering backpacks full of items to the homeless in the city! All donations can be dropped off at the Maquet household (bin on porch) (326 5th St) by Saturday!

REFLECTIONS – Due by November 15th!

Do you enjoy art, music and dance or have an interest in writing, producing films and taking photos? Then join us and have fun unleashing your inner artist with PTA Reflections! This year’s theme is “I Will Change the World By…”.

Please submit your completed entry form with your art via email and/or hard copy drop off by November 15th. There is a drop box for projects located in the foyer at Whittier or students can drop off their submissions at the front office.

PTA Committee Positions Open

Outside Programs Coordinator (Chess Scholars, Language Labs, Young Rembrandts)

Whittier offers our students several programs on a for-fee basis after school one day per week through external organizations. PTA members help liaise between the school and these external organizations for session scheduling and information distribution purposes. One PTA parent volunteer must also be present each week during chess in order to assist with attendance and overall supervision.

Target Number of Volunteers: 1
Estimated Time Commitment: Minimal (coordinator)
Required Availability: Weekday Afternoons
